a little sonic volleyball history!
Sonic Hitters Volleyball, a division of Sonic Sports Club, Inc., located in Adrian, MI. was incorporated as a nonprofit organization with the State of Michigan in 2000. The club is an outgrowth of Wolf Creek Volleyball Club started in 1997. Our board of directors is made up of volunteer parents and coaches who have a profound interest in volleyball and donate their time to insure the continued success of the club.
Our purpose is to provide a quality volleyball program for girls between the ages of 10 and 18. Our original club started with one team of 11 players. Currently we range anywhere from 7 to 10 teams with over 100 girls participating each year. As a result, over the years almost every community in Lenawee County has been represented, thereby enriching almost every Lenawee County School's volleyball program. To those programs these girls have brought the experience and exposure that they gained by being an AAU and or USAV club volleyball player.
2008 season
We are currently preparing for our 11th season. Registration will begin in January, with tryouts scheduled for February. Tournament play begins in April and runs through June. Our teams will be competing in tournaments each weekend both locally and traveling to locations throughout the state of Michigan. In June, our teams will participate in the AAU state tournament in Grand Rapids. We are proud of our Sonic Hitter teams as they have excelled and won many tournaments throughout the state in years past.
